Free Gardening & Healthy Cooking workshops 2nd Saturday Sept – June
Garden Gateway is a free hands-on gardening and cooking workshop series where you learn how to grow food using natural and sustainable methods that don’t rely on chemical fertilizers or pesticides and prepare healthy dishes using produce from your garden!
Participants are given FREE gardening supplies and fresh produce to take home so you can put gardening strategies and new cooking skills to use right away!
The Garden Gateway Program, now in its 12th season, takes place the CSU/EXPO Urban Mini Farm, a formerly under utilized lot that CSU has transformed into a thriving urban mini farm. Providing the South Central community with local beyond organic produce and supporting over 2,500 Garden Gateway participants with hands on education.
Community Services Unlimited has hosted many tree giveaways for the public at the Paul Robeson Community Wellness Center, in partnership with LADWP.
If you’ve missed these events don’t worry, now the yard trees can come to you. Through CityPlants you can get free yard trees delivered straight to your door.
