Kitchen Class x From the Ground Up Internship   

 

The From the Ground UP! Internship program offers South Central youth training and mentorship in farming, gardening, healthy cooking and entrepreneurial skills, and leadership development.

 

This fall internship opportunity builds on the partnership between Community Services Unlimited and Kitchen Class. CSU’s long standing From the Ground Up and Kitchen Class’ newer Internship Programs for young people are fusing to offer this exciting new opportunity. This program will consist of six sessions that will take place alternately at the CSU/EXPO urban mini farm and the Paul Robeson Community Wellness Center in South Central Los Angeles. Participants will be actively engaged in the preparation of simple healthy meals in a commercial kitchen and in growing food at an urban farm.

 

Program sessions will take place on Saturdays from September 13, to October 18th , from 9am to 2.30pm. All applicants must be available during all dates and times, no exceptions will be made. Upon successful completion of the program, interns will receive a modest stipend and will leave with skills and knowledge that will serve them for life. Apply Here
