We’ll discuss what goes into a compost system\, how to manage moisture and airflow\, how to recognize finished compost\, and ways to use it in your garden. We will share techniques that can be adapted for backyards\, raised beds\, containers\, and other growing spaces.\n\nNutrition/Cooking Topic – Fire Cider: Cold Season Herbs & Fresh Foods for Health\nOur nutrition session will focus on preparing Fire Cider\, a flavorful vinegar-based infusion using fresh herbs\, roots\, peppers\, and other seasonal ingredients. DESCRIPTION:Hugo Lomeli is a multidisciplinary artist born in\nTepatitlán\, Jalisco\, Mexico\, and raised in Long Beach\,\nCalifornia. Inspired by LA’s street art and mural\nscene\, Hugo’s meditative practice expresses emotion\nthrough vibrant\, abstract forms\, sometimes set\nagainst photorealistic portraits and scenes. His meals\ncan be seen throughout LA’s South Bay.\nHugo will lead us in crafting a mixed-media portrait\ncollage using acrylic paints and clippings from\nmagazines and other print materials.
