This month’s focus

Gardening Topic –  Starting Your Garden & Growing in Small Spaces. You do not need a large yard to grow food. Learn how to assess the space available, whether it is a backyard, patio, balcony, container garden, or another small growing area. We’ll discuss considerations such as sunlight, soil, watering, choosing appropriate containers, and selecting crops that work well when growing space is limited.

Nutrition/Cooking Topic – Cooling Recipes. Participants will explore ways to use fresh produce to create foods that are refreshing, flavorful, and easy to prepare at home. The demonstration will connect what we grow in the garden with practical ways to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other fresh ingredients into everyday meals.
